Westminster Roman Catholic Diocese Combines HR & Payroll Function with Bond Teamspirit and Slashes Report Processing Times
Combined HR and Payroll processes significantly reduce report processing time from several hours to only minutes.
6th April 2011: Westminster Roman Catholic Diocese today announces the 'go live' of Bond TeamSpirit - a modular, yet fully integrated HR & Payroll software solution from Bond International Software, the global provider of recruitment & human capital management software & services. Bond TeamSpirit will allow the Diocese to combine existing payroll processes with its HR function, sharing critical data between the two departments. This will significantly reduce the time taken to conduct reports - a process previously taking in excess of two days to complete, now reduced to a couple of hours.
The Diocese covers a huge geographical area, serving the population of London and Hertfordshire, split over 369 parishes and departments. Over 1000 employees are on the payroll system, all requiring individual monthly payslips. Whilst 75% of workers are employed on a part-time basis, 25% are full-time staff, and with different rates of pay for a variety of different working hours, the existing payroll process was an understandably complex process to operate and manage.
Monica Turner, HR Manager at Westminster Roman Catholic Diocese explains, "Our pre-existing payroll system simply didn't deliver on the requirements of our organisation. We have a number of part-time staff wages to process and the pre-existing payroll system was not able to distinguish between our employees' varying rates of pay. Gross salaries were easily reported through the system, but if we wanted to compare specific employees' rates per hour or recent payslips, it became a major exercise."
Turner continues, "We are often required to generate different kinds of reports, either to comply with legislation from the National Statistics Office, or for internal administrative assessments. These reports were previously calculated and processed manually via multiple basic spreadsheets, often taking hours to complete. With Bond TeamSpirit in place however, these reports can be produced in a matter of minutes, meaning huge amounts of time will now be saved and our staff productivity is considerably increased."
Future plans include the possible purchase of additional Bond TeamSpirit modules, such as the Employee Self Service module.
Turner concludes, "Return on investment of this software will certainly be achieved - indeed, the ability to prove identifiable value was originally one of the prime deal clinchers for Bond TeamSpirit. With our purchase of Bond TeamSpirit, we will be able to significantly reduce the amount of manual administration being carried out by the team, which will equate to calculable annual savings. Furthermore, those staff who will be using the HR and Payroll system will be working much faster, thus increasing productivity and customer service alike."
